No. Reblood works independently by collaborating and supporting the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) program to solve the problem of blood donation shortage in Indonesia. Learn more on the About Reblood page.
The pain is only for a moment, like being pinched. Fear of needles is a major factor that causes many people to think that the blood donation process will hurt. Many first-time donors were afraid of needles at first, but eventually feel the process is not hurt as they thought. You can read some tips to help your first blood donation process.
In accordance with the slogan of PMI: 'They are safe, we are healthy'. Blood donation can save the lives of patients who need immediate blood transfusions. Besides saving the patient's life, blood donation also makes the donors healthier, because it helps regenerate new blood cells, therefore reducing the risk of heart attack, cancer and so on.
Not yet. Currently Reblood is working on a pilot of system integration with several regional PMI such as PMI Surabaya and PMI Gresik. Hopefully it can be integrated nationally soon.
For blood donors in the Surabaya and Gresik areas, donors can fill in the donor card number in the Profile so the data can be updated. The update process may take 1-3 business days. For Surabaya donor card owners, add '002' to the prefix of the card number (such as: 002G001456) for successful data integration.For donors in other areas, donors can update data by uploading a photo of the donor card on the Profile.
Reblood can support by sharing blood needs information with voluntary donors registered with Reblood, as well as colleagues in the blood donor community. However, Reblood cannot share donor contacts with patients due to our terms of service. Reblood cannot guarantee 100% certainty that there will always be voluntary donors who are available, especially when the need for blood increases but there are not many donors, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ramadhan, end of year holidays and other conditions.
